What Is Gingivoplasty?

Gingivoplasty is called shaping of healthy gum tissues. This treatment is applied for aesthetic purposes after gingivectomy. After gingivectomy procedure, gingivoplasty is applied to the gingival and the person is given more aesthetic smile.

What Should Be Done After Gingivectomy And Gingivoplasty?

Soft foods must be consumed to prevent damage to the gums after the application. Hard and crusty foods should not be consumed. To accelerate the healing process, oral hygiene should be provided and the bandaged area should not be touched. Other areas should be gently cleaned with a soft toothbrush, except for the areas where the bandage is located. After the procedure, the bandages can be removed after 7-10 days. After 3-4 weeks, the dis flesh will regain their normal appearance.
